A British WW2 Denison Airborne Smock
A WW2 British Airborne Denison Smock, this is a heavy-duty camouflage over-smock of pullover form, made of windproof cloth material, fitted with a functioning neck to chest zip opening, four pockets and buttoned cuffs. The collar is square cut and lined with khaki shirt material. The pockets are square and deep, closed by pointed flaps that are secured by metal press-studs, all of which are in working order. Epaulettes are fitted to the shoulders and a long 'tailpiece' flap is attached to the rear skirt of the smock, intended to be drawn up between the legs of the wearer and fastened to the inside of the front skirt by six press-studs, placed in pairs of three all of which are present and functioning, however, the Smock has see some use with tears below the bottom left pocket, at the rear above and left of the tailpiece, and with general wear to the collar.
