A French Foreign Legion Fighting Knife

A so Called French Foreign Legion Fighting knive with a cut down U.S. M17 bayonet with a 7.5" black finished blade and a modified crossguard. The scabbard is a modified version  with the addition of a belt loop, these knifes were actually made in a lot for the French Airborne forces as a whole, which included the French Foreign Legion, there are images of 2 REP  wearing them at Kolwezi and under UN Deloyment. The Knife has the original US marks, with this one being made by Remington, with the date 6 17, showing that this was origianlly made for the British Army. A very nice knife in excellent condition.
