A Mk1 Canadian Ross Bayonet, the United States purchased 20,000 of these bayonets for use on their training rifles for World War One, Measuring 14 3/4 inches overall with a 10 inch unaltered blade and 2 piece wood grip panels. Marked to the right side of the pommel is Ross Rifle company, Quebec, Patented 1907 and date stamped 10-10 for October 1910, with a Canadian C-Broadarrow to the left side, along with two proof marks that also appears on the spine between the grip panels. Working release button in place. One on the wood grips is stamped "U.S." with the flaming bomb and the number A126 the other having just the proof mark. The Front of the scabbard is stamped "U.S." with the flaming bomb. The revrse of the belt loop has the number 65 stamped and the lower reverse side if the scabbard has 1911, ERC and the Canadian C-Broadarrow. All in all in VG+++ condition.
