A South African 1888 MKII Lee Metford Bayonet, Sanderson

A South African 1888 MKII Lee Metford Bayonet, by Sanderson. The crossguard, grips and pommel are all in very good condition, one side of the pommel is marked with the U and Broad Arrow denoting South Africa issue, on the other side it has the markings SA 4 INF and 132, for the South African 4th Infantry. the blade has some staining and very minor pitting near the ricasso. On one side of the ricasso is the Broad Arrow  under which is an acceptance stamp and the X bending mark, the other side has the Crown over ER and 05  02 the date of May 1902 and Sanderson Sheffield. The Scabbard is in excellent condition with both the Locket and Chape having acceptance stamps, A very nice Bayonet in VG++++ condition.
