A WW2 German Kriegsmarine Dagger by Holler
A M1938 2nd Model Navy Dagger (Kriegsmarine Dolch) by F. W. Höller of Solingen. The acid etched sailing ship blade on this is in very good to excellent condition and still nice and crisp. The etched “F. W. Höller Solingen” maker mark is also in nice crisp condition. The original leather buffer remains and the blade fits nicely in the scabbard. The lightning bolt style scabbard is brass based and gold gilded, but as with most of these daggers, most of the gilt is worn off. The scabbard has a one dent on to one side and a coupl of smaller dents one the other, again nothing unusual here as brass is a soft metal, and to find these daggers with dents to the scabbard is common. The crossguard and pommel are brass based and gold gilded again most if it now worn off, The handle is free from any Damage and the wire wrap is complete and nice and tight. over a very Nice Dagger in VG++++ condition.
