U.S M1917 Shotgun Bayonet by Remington

A Scarce Original U.S. WWI M1917 Enfield Rifle Bayonet with WWII Fiberglass Scabbard for  the Trench Shotgun.  This bayonet is marked 1917 over REMINGTON in a circle on the ricasso. The reverse has the Ordnance Flaming Bomb over U.S., along with an Eagle / 21 inspection stamp. The wood grips are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks , with the correct double grooves in the middle of the handle. The blade has some pitting and staining and there is evidence of sharpening to the blade itself, the scabbard is the with a fiberglass body and metal throat, which is marked: M1917 with a flaming bomb and U.S to the centre. There is no damage to the Scabbard and metal throat pce. VG+++
